A Trustnet Magazine story was awarded the ‘Investment Article of the Year’ prize at this year’s  unbiased.co.uk’s Media Awards.

Freelancer Pádraig Floyd was behind the winning article ‘Back from the Dead’, which was the cover story of the Ap

ril 2015 edition. The article explained why offering greater pension freedoms and flexibility did not necessarily mean the death of annuities, as was previously forecasted. 

The unbiased.co.uk event, now in its 12th year, took place at Vanilla Club in London and celebrates the work of professional advisers and journalists promoting the value of financial advice. 

Thirteen awards were presented in total, with Floyd’s story also coming second in the ‘Pension Article of the Year’ category.

The Trustnet Magazine article was the only winner in the consumer-focused categories that was not from a national newspaper.
